We are seeking a Senior Finance Operations Associate to support and enhance the financial backbone of our fast-growing, deep-tech organization. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and process-driven individual who thrives in a dynamic, international startup environment and works confidently with external stakeholders such as accountants and auditors, committed to upholding financial accuracy and integrity.

The role will oversee financial reporting prepared by external accounting partners, ensure proper treatment of complex transactions, and maintain compliance with IFRS standards. You’ll manage regular reporting and reconciliations from our ERP system, monitor cash positions, and deliver cash reports to support liquidity visibility and planning. As the primary contact for external auditors, you’ll coordinate audits and ensure timely issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Oversight

• Lead and own the monthly closing process, including the review of financial reports submitted by external accounting partners.
• Ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with IFRS standards.
• Support the preparation of consolidated financial reports, coordinating inputs across entities and validating consistency in data and accounting treatments.
• Flag and assess areas requiring complex accounting judgment (e.g., capitalization rules, revenue recognition, provisions, accruals).
• Provide financial insights and data integrity to support the company’s budgeting and planning processes, helping translate reported figures into forward-looking decision-making tools.

ERP & Reporting

• Retrieve and analyze financial data from the ERP system to support reporting and decision-making.
• Deliver timely internal reports on cash flow, expense tracking, and financial performance metrics.
• Collaborate with external accountants to ensure ERP entries align with contractual terms and business activity.

Cash & Treasury Oversight

• Monitor cash movements, bank reconciliations, and treasury activities.
• Support short- and medium-term cash forecasting and funding coordination.

Audit & Compliance

• Act as a key contact for external auditors during interim and annual audits.
• Prepare audit schedules, explain accounting treatments, and ensure timely resolution of queries.
• Support internal compliance processes aligned with financial policies and risk controls.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Master degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in finance operations, accounting, or audit role.
• Solid understanding of IFRS and its practical application in daily operations.
• Experience working with external accountants, auditors, and cross-functional teams.
• Proven experience using ERP systems; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with financial data in detail.
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Ability to prepare clear documentation and communicate with stakeholders globally.
• Strong attention to detail, hands-on mentality, and a sense of ownership.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, managing international legal entities effectively.
